Watter tipe wurm is dit? Ongeveer so groot soos my vinger en het ‘n nare groen slym by sy mond afgeskei toe ek aan hom raak.

Beste Louisa: Geluk by die ongeluk! Hoe gelukkig is jy, en hoe ongelukkig is jy nie.

Hierdie lieflike ruspe, met die mooi volksnaam “koebee-slang”, word later ‘n pylstertmot, heel moontlik die Kaapse Pylstert, Theretra capensis. Gulsige vreters, veral op varkblomme, wingerdstokke en impatience. Die groot oogmerke is daar om predatore af te skrik, en die groen vloeistof netso.
